'We want to be able to effect change in whatever way we can. The real power isn't in your pocket or your profits, it's in making a difference'

Following the success of our debut 'Aqua De Jewel' Collection, we as a brand felt our influence in the industry had risen and therefore wanted to make an impact in a different way.
With the launching of the SS17 Collection comes the launching of a new arm of the brand. As part of making a difference in our Community and in our World, we as a brand have decided that we want to partner with different Organisations/Charities every collection and donate proceeds from our sales to support that Organisation/Charity with their life changing visions. We aim to assist these Organisations/Charities in making a difference all over the World. This season we have chosen to support the organisation: Path to Possibilities.
Path to Possibilities is a UK-based charity with a passionate commitment to transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people in Nigeria. As well as sponsoring secondary education for poor but bright children, we campaign to improve the education system and share best practice teaching with schools. Our work is separated into three strands: Offering scholarships, skills sharing, and special projects. Scholarships We assist with fees and costs for secondary school education; this includes accommodation in boarding facilities, meals, books, uniform and general maintenance. We currently sponsor 11 children. Skills Sharing We share teaching skills and best practice techniques with teachers in schools that are, without exception, over-subscribed and extremely stretched. We also support teachers with teaching materials. Special Projects We get involved in what we call ‘desperate’ educational projects – such as building a classroom or a library or a Borehole; as well as providing learning resources such as books, paper and pens. One Borehole we built, meant that, after 50 years, the school would finally have access to water. We recently established a Learning Resource Centre in Ikota, Lagos Nigeria. |
